Company Named in National Top Five thanks to Attractive Work Environment and Commitment to Learning and Development Opportunities for Employees
Doha, Qatar
Ooredoo was named as one of the top five “Best Places to Work For in Algeria in 2015” by the Best Companies Group USA, in a special report that ranked companies by employee satisfaction in key areas such as corporate culture, HR management, career development, quality of life and motivation.
The trophy was presented to Ooredoo representatives during a special ceremony in Algiers this month, in the presence of a distinguished panel of HR experts.
A range of national and multinational companies operating in Algeria received awards during the ceremony, with Ooredoo cited for its “efforts to create an attractive work environment and learning opportunities, development and evolution for the employees.”
Joseph Ged, CEO, Ooredoo Algeria, said: “We are honoured and proud to receive this recognition, which demonstrates Ooredoo’s commitment to enabling the growth of the real wealth of our company – our human resources. Our strategy focuses on developing skills, motivation and opportunities for our employees, and this award – along with Ooredoo Algeria achieving the best employee engagement rate in the MENA region for the third successive year – demonstrates our success in this area.”
The "Best Places to Work" awards are organised by Best Companies Group USA, which conducts studies across different companies in a range of industries, measuring employee satisfaction in a number of areas. Employee feedback is the most important element of the programme, support by an HRD Assessment of HR practices in the different companies.
In Algeria, the “Best Places to Work" programme is organised in collaboration with Lycom, an HR consulting firm, in partnership with Algerian institutional partners.
