The Qtel Group today announced its “SmartRoamer” international roaming service: a key step in extending benefits to customers within The Qtel Group. Continuing The Qtel Group’s efforts in constantly providing more value to customers, this offer will make international roaming more affordable, worry-free, simple to understand and reflective of customers’ requirements.
 
The “Smart Roamer” offer will be launched in two Phases. In Phase 1, Qtel Group customers of Qtel (Qatar), Wataniya (Kuwait) and Nawras (Oman) will be able to:
 
·Benefit from a single rate whether they call back home or call within the Gulf Region zone (Qatar, Kuwait, Oman, Saudi Arabia, United Arab Emirates)
·Enjoy up to  50% discount when making local calls
·Enjoy up to 70% discount when using wireless data services
·Send SMS at more than 25% discounted rate 
 
The Qtel Group’s SmartRoamer calling package and attractive data packages are a first in the region.  The pricing will automatically be available to customers without the need for further registration or calls.
 
In Phase 2, the “SmartRoamer” offer will be enhanced as it expands to remaining Qtel Group networks. Additional features are planned to constantly build and enhance the roaming experience.  Further details will be issued when the offer is launched in March.
