Role Overview

Currently, the Operating Companies (OpCos) have abundant amount of Network data and Customer data but have not implemented AI models that improves network operations and customer experience at the same time.

The goal is to show business value of improved customer experience by improving network operations.

As the senior manager, will play a pivotal role in driving the integration and advancement of AI technologies across the group and its Operating Companies (OpCos). The goal will be working with a team of expert analysts in developing and using AI predictive models to improve network performance, customer experience, and business outcomes. In this Group role, you will work closely with regional OpCos, and a small team in Group Technology to understand business needs and objectives and deliver analytical insights and recommended priorities and actions to support those objectives.

Core Responsibilities

AI model development and network data analytics:

  • Develop end-to-end AI models from preprocessing to production by collaborating with the OpCos.

  • Use advanced techniques like Deep neural networks, CNN, RNN, etc. on complex datasets like raw network data to predict faults, failures, etc.

  • Oversee AI projects from conceptualization to implementation, ensuring timely delivery and alignment with business goals throughout the OpCos

Reduce Customer network complaints:

  • Help understand the correlation between customer experience on the network with complaints.

  • Create an advanced model to predict customer complaints and provide root cause (RCA) on each of the predicted customer complaints occurring.

Network Troubleshooting:

  • Analyze the efficiency of Network Troubleshooting in terms of total time, total labor required, and total handoffs between departments to resolve issues.

  • Ability to detect cell tower equipment and issues with current setup and structure based on picture taken by field technicians using AI.

  • Understand Partners' capability to forecast traffic and capacity and support the development of processes to optimize capacity deployment.

  • Analyze the Vendors' delivery of the traffic prioritization feature whereby high-tier customers have the design level of Customer Experience even in periods of congestion.

AI Research:

  • Understand the current landscape of neural networks and how NNs and DNNs can help solve complex data problems like network data and achieve high accuracy predictions.

  • Stay abreast of the latest developments in AI and related fields, continuously expanding your knowledge and skillset to apply cutting-edge solutions within Ooredoo Group.

  • Solid understanding of Gen AI and how it can be implemented to improve on the Network engineering teams in OpCos and Group.

Qualification and Experience

  • 6-10 years of hands-on experience in artificial intelligence and machine learning, with a deep understanding of AI algorithms, methodologies, and applications.

  • Experience in the telecommunications industry, with understanding of telecom operations and the network is preferred.

  • Significant expertise in Gen AI and neural networks, with demonstrated experience in working on projects utilizing CNN, RNN, or other deep neural network architectures.

  • Proven ability to work independently, demonstrate initiative, and understand network inefficiencies to enhance day-to-day operations.

Core Competencies

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, Engineering, or related field; advanced degree preferred.

  • Fluent in English - Arabic/French is a plus
