Further to the Company's previous announcement, Qtel confirms that it has established a $5bn GMTN programme on the London Stock Exchange. Financial transaction under the documentation of this programme would take place in stages. The funds generated shall be used for general corporate purposes, including refinancing existing indebtedness.
 
The Company is holding meetings with global fixed income investors to ascertain investor interest and will update the market as to further developments in due time.
