Summary

Ooredoo is entering a new phase in its lifecycle where operational and commercial excellence has become critical for success. The urgency for change has become more heightened amidst increased competitive intensity across all markets in which Ooredoo operates.  The Group's ESS transformation programme must therefore ensure the successful delivery of the transformation in context of:

  • Alignment of the Program objectives with the overall Ooredoo strategy

  • Rapidly changing ICT environment

  • Management of executive and shareholder expectations across the OpCos throughout the transformation

  • Management of employee, customer and supplier expectations

  • Constant dynamics and local challenges in the economic, regulatory and legal environments.

This position will work with the Ooredoo Group Leadership Team, the Opco CEOs and direct reports, the Manager: Test Management will be accountable for the successful delivery of ESS Transformation Program ensuring appropriate assurance program. The program aims to implement a unified way of working across Finance, Sourcing and Human Resources with clear roles and responsibilities that eliminates redundancy and promotes efficiency.

The role will ensure a coordinated approach throughout Ooredoo, enabling Ooredoo operations to execute their mandates effectively.

The  Manager: Test Management will be responsible to ensure continuous monitoring of the program's quality and risks at a holistic program level as well as BAU release management.

The role will report into Associate Director, IT

Enablement and will be subject to Governance via ESS SteerCo and Program Leadership.

Role Accountabilities

The Test Manager is responsible for the overall, day-to-day management of a specific task order or group of task orders affecting the same or related/interdependent systems. The test Manager schedules and assigns work to contractors and monitors progress and resolves discrepancies to ensure compliance with

work/quality standards and contract/task order requirements. The Test Manager ensures that the technical solutions and schedules in the task order(s) are implemented within estimated timeframes and budget constraints. Introduces innovative approaches and methodologies for processes and support systems.


Hard Skills requirements:

  • 10+ years of work experience core focusing of testing.

  • Demonstrated experience SAP ERP

  • Provides technical guidance on major tasks or technology assignments.

  • Experience in implementing a testing tool and setting it up for automation.

  • Provides services in support of release management.

  • Manages SIT, FUT, UAT, end-to-end.

  • Keen eye to drive automation and bring in innovation and improvements.

  • Adhere to firm KPIs and reporting

  • Setup testing status reporting / dashboards

  • Assess risk and impact for testing

  • Plan along with release management team.

  • Has domain and expert technical knowledge.

  • Decision making and domain knowledge may have a critical impact on overall project implementation.

  • Ability to effectively supervise others and implementation.

Soft skills requirements:

  • Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills in English. French & Arabic will be considered a value add.

  • Strong problem solving and decision making abilities

  • Unquestionable professional integrity, credibility and character

  • Ability to assess and manage/notify technical risks and issues to management.

  • Proven record working with a fast-paced delivery environment.

  • Excellent stakeholder management including executives and C-suites.

Experience

  • 8-10 years of Functional Management Experience

  • Minimum 5 years in sector industry

  • Experience in doing business process analysis, system design and implementation, process design work.

  • Understanding of touchpoints with different business cycles like acquire to retire, record to report etc.

  • Various aspects of the process like business process controls, reporting requirements, authorization consideration, availability of data are analyzed thoroughly while finalizing the design in the system.

  • Sound capability to clearly articulate messages to a variety of audiences

  • Proven track record of business improvement

  • Understanding of functional areas and/or products associated with specific initiative.

  • Ability to drive change management work stream in a project context with limited guidance.

  • Sound business judgment to ensure cultural aspirations are well integrated in performance improvement activities.

  • High level of energy and creativity for transformation, willingness to go the extra mile.

Qualifications

  • University degree is required
