Role Overview

Ooredoo is entering a new phase in its lifecycle where operational and commercial excellence has become critical for success. The urgency for change has become more heightened amidst increased competitive intensity across all markets in which Ooredoo operates.  The Group's ESS transformation programme must therefore ensure the successful delivery of the transformation in context of:

  • Alignment of the Program objectives with the overall Ooredoo strategy

  • Rapidly changing ICT environment

  • Management of executive and shareholder expectations across the OpCos throughout the transformation

  • Management of employee, customer and supplier expectations.

  • Constant dynamics and local challenges in the economic, regulatory and legal environments.

This position will work with the Ooredoo Group Leadership Team, the Opco CEOs and direct reports, the Specialist: Quality and Program Assurance will be accountable to support the successful delivery of SAP ESS Transformation Program ensuring appropriate assurance program. The program aims to implement a unified way of working across Finance, Sourcing and Human Resources with clear roles and responsibilities that eliminates redundancy and promotes efficiency.

The role will ensure a coordinated approach throughout Ooredoo, enabling Ooredoo operations to execute their mandates effectively.

The Specialist: Quality and Program Assurance will be responsible, as part of the Quality Team, to ensure continuous monitoring of the program's quality and risks at a holistic program level.

The role will report into the Director: Program Support and will be subject to Governance via ESS SteerCo and Program Leadership.

Core Responsibilities

  • Support the Quality Manager performing stage gate assessments of program quality, performance, status and outlook to ensure high quality deliverables are maintained at every stage of the program and to provide quality assessment of entry and exit criteria for each phase of the program.

  • Enforces quality controls to ensure continuous monitoring of the program's risks at a holistic program level.

  • In accordance with SAP Activate Methodology, support the establishment a Quality Assurance Framework and defining Quality Assurance parameters for the entire program to assess and actively manages program quality and controls.

  • Performs quality assurance assessments to ensure program deliverables are executed according to requirements and standards set out in the Risk Management and Quality Assurance Framework and evaluates the SI delivery according to agree upon requirements while providing ongoing improvement with action-orientated recommendations across the entire program lifecycle.

  • Ensures the highest quality of work is being undertaken and that program risks and controls are being managed across all workstreams.

  • Ensures compliance of SI documentation, technology, process re-design, risks, controls, test scenarios (SIT and UAT) and segregation of duties quality parameters in addition to ensuring data migration is performed according to the requirements of maintaining data completeness and data integrity.

  • Support the current and future system security measures coordinating the relevant activities with the Cybersecurity Teams (OG and OpCos).

Qualification and Experience

  • 5-7 years of Management Experience

  • Minimum 3 years of Transformation experience. Experience with ESS SAP implementation is preferred.

  • Minimum 5 years in sector industry

  • Work across diverse cultures and geographies

  • Proven track record of business improvement

  • High performing individual in a line management position, with strong standing to be perceived as peer for most management levels.

  • Understanding of functional areas and/or products associated with specific initiative.

  • Ability to drive change management work stream in a project context with limited guidance.

  • Sound business judgment to ensure cultural aspirations are well integrated in performance improvement activities.

  • Sufficient financial knowledge to understand business cases and consequences on P&L, balance sheet and cash flow.

  • Ability to coach and train, including conducting group and one to one training.

  • High level of energy and creativity for transformation, willingness to go the extra mile.

Core Competencies

  • University degree, Master' preferred.
