Purpose

The Ooredoo group is implementing an on-going ERM capability program across the Groups across 17 markets globally by improving people, processes, and technology. The board recognizes that revenue leakage, revenue assurance an enterprise risk management will maximize revenue and profit and minimize leakage and loss through other channels. 

The role provides leadership and expertise in Enterprise Risk Management and is tasked with minimizing revenue and cost leakages, while maximizing customer satisfaction via correct, complete and timely charging and billing and through the effective identification and management of risk across all areas of the business.
To assist in developing and executing an effective and robust strategy for enterprise risk management across:  revenue assurance, fraud management, finance systems, and financial controls in OG and across the OG group OpCo’s. In addition to put in place risk awareness, identification and resolution processes across all parts of the organisation which will ensure risk is mitigated in all parts of the business limiting revenue losses and maximising returns, with strong emphasis on educating and implementing systems which will continually strengthen and improve ERM awareness and successes.

Profile

• Promote the consistent use of risk management and ownership of risk at all levels of the organisation. 
• Contribute in building a risk-aware culture, including appropriate education and training. 
• Assist the organisational processes for identifying, analyzing, evaluating, responding to and monitoring, and reporting on key risks.
• Develop, implement, monitor and provide fraud risk assessment 
• Conduct ongoing analysis working with relevant stakeholders to identify root cause of fraud trends and confirm appropriate controls have been designed and implemented
• Support the design, implementation, documentation, assessment and monitoring internal control framework, including group policies and key risks in order to ensure that the group has adequate controls to prevent unintentional and intentional errors in financial and nonfinancial reporting, processes and business operations
• Formulate policies and procedures to improve internal controls, compliance and efficiency 
• Lead the process for internal controls reviews across the group 
• Deliver adequate and timely reporting on the internal control framework and control deficiencies to ensure appropriate communication, documentation, escalation to business partners, senior leadership and Audit and Risk Management Committee

Experience

  • 8 years’ experience out of which at least 5 years directly related to Enterprise Risk Management
  • Previous experience at Managerial Level in ERM, RA, FM, finance systems, and financial controls.
  • In-depth knowledge of telecommunications, ERM, RA, FM, financial controls, and finance systems.
  • Proven demonstrable experience in developing ERM practices and leading their implementation across multiple operating entities.
  • Significant knowledge of Risk Management models and their implementation
  • In depth knowledge of telecommunication technologies and areas of revenue loss

Qualifications

  • Bachelor Degree business/accounting/finance or economics related discipline, or Computer Science /Operational Management
  • Professional qualifications in risk management, would be an advantage
